In recent months, bold opinions have surfaced about using Donald Trump’s Penthouse as the setting for filming the Devil’s home in The Devil’s Advocate, a 1997 film starring Al Pacino as Satan and Keanu Reeves as his unwitting apprentice or rather, his “advocate.” Namely, that it was a forecast of things to come — particularly prescient amid the havoc of his Save America PAC [created by treasurer Bradley T. Crate on behalf of the Committee to Make America Great Again], which would wreak upon his most staunch supporters with an alleged money scheme (now under investigation by the Justice Department as they subpoena many associated with the PAC). The PAC has made millions from Trump supporters and it is yet unclear exactly where the majority of the money went.

The Plot Thickens — This Time Not A Movie

But at the writing of this article, this all goes well beyond that though, as reported by journalist David Enrich in his book Servants of the Damned, as the giant law firm Jones Day is heavily linked with not only Trump’s actions, but many of the lawyers who helped Trump during his campaign and his subsequent presidency have moved to work at the Jones Day law firm after Trump failed to be reelected.

If you recall the news on June 22, 2020, Attorney General Barr had tried to fire Geoffrey Berman, the former U.S. Attorney for SDNY. Berman fought back,

“You can’t fire me!”

Berman also has a book released this week whose information prompted a Senate probe into Trump’s era Department of Justice.
